Junior Academy U6-U10’s 2007-08 season …

The fall session of the Century United Junior Academy is scheduled to begin Tuesday, August 28, 2007. We will have eight sessions in the fall and will conclude on Tuesday, October 30, 2007. There will be no sessions on September 18 and October 9. All fall sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6 pm- 7:30 PM at the Century United Soccer Complex. Spring sessions will be held on Monday evenings from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM.

Academy Age Chart for the 2007-2008 season:

U6 8/01/2001–7/31/2002
U8 8/1/1999–7/31/2001
U10 8/1/1997–7/31/1999
U11 8/1/1996–7/31/1997

U10’s (U9’s if we have enough) will be playing at least six games win the PPA league.

Coordinating the Junior Academy this year is Century United Director of coaching Mike Blatz. Century United coaching staff will assist with the Academy.

Fees for the 2007-08 program will be $300 plus the uniform.

We believe that by developing players, with an age appropriate developmental program, we can guide our youth through age-phases, and concentrate on player readiness. Additionally, by providing a community-based coaching staff (including parents) with the knowledge necessary to conduct sessions that reflect the modern game, we will reduce the learning gaps in more youth and share a clear and collective vision. Learning is a progression, and like any curriculum, must be tracked and assessed periodically. Program modifications and specially designed instruction must occur to enable players to naturally progress through phases. With the appropriate leadership and foresight to adapt, our soccer community will grow with the evolving game of soccer.
